Interstate 46 is the longest transcontinental highway in the US. Its South terminus is in rural Texas near Corpus Christi, Texas and its North end is at in Fort Covington, New York. On its route I-46 traverses through the many states, making it one of the longest interstates ever. It spans about 3,220 miles, making it one of the longest interstates ever.. I-46 is known as the Transamerica Highway or “America’s Expressway” because of the roads immense history following many iconic old highways and trails.
