State Route 12 (SR-12) is a major state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia. The highway spans over 116 miles from Sandbridge to the Maryland border just north of Chincoteague. SR 12 is a suburban highway concurrent with US 60 in Virginia Beach, and a rural highway on the Virginian Eastern Shore. The highway runs entirely through Virginia Beach, Northampton County, and Accomack County, primarily as a rural town connector.

State Route 12 is used for easy commuting for coastal towns, instead of going around through US 13. SR 12 has proven to be useful within the trucking industry to deliver quicker to towns like Wachapreague and Chincoteague.
